Although the 5 Scandinavian countries have much in common, they also have significant differences, especially in terrain and history. Tom DeClaire will lead us on a tour through all! In Finland, we'll visit its lovely capital, Helsinki. In Sweden, we'll take a look around Stockholm, including the Skansen Folk Park and the nearby Gripsholm Castle. In Denmark, we'll stroll around "wonderful" Copenhagen, including Nyhavn and Tivoli. We'll also visit Hans Christian Andersen's Odense. In Norway, after a stop in Oslo to see the Viking ships and the Vigeland sculptures, we'll cross over the "roof" of Norway and travel by ferry through the fjords of picturesque Bergen. We'll conclude with a visit to Iceland, with its modern capital, Reykjavik, and its geothermal geysers.
