American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training: Designed for 11- to 15-year olds, this class can help you safely and responsibly give care for young children and infants. This training will help you develop leadership skills, learn how to build up your babysitting business, and keep you and the children safe. You'll learn what you need to know to become a responsible sitter: choosing safe and age-appropriate toys and games, diapering, feeding, helping children behave, preventing injuries, and handling bedtime issues. In addition to learning about basic child care, you will receive hands-on practice in basic first aid and learn the skills necessary to give care in an emergency. Participants who successfully complete the training will receive two certifications: American Red Cross First Aid and American Red Cross Babysitter.
