Date: 9/19/2014
Start Time: 9:30 AM
End Time: 3:00 PM
Description:
Whether you view teens as the most fun group ever, a pain in the neck, or an invisible section of our population, this workshop will give you inspiration. In the morning, the fabulous Megan Emery, a teen and tween librarian at the Chattanooga Public Library, which was recently hailed as “the library of the future” (see: http://chattlibrary.org/ and be sure to check out the 4th Floor) will give an overview of how and why to work with teens, and will tell about programs she has done and is doing. Megan blogs at meganfemery.wordpress.com and her Twitter handle is: bibli. In the afternoon, we will hear from Vermont librarians about what has worked for them. Come get excited about working with this creative, vital part of our population!
