Event Type: Technology Workshop Date: 6/8/2011 Start Time: 9:30 AM End Time: 3:00 PM Description: A one-day informal workshop for librarians who have completed the five-day cataloging workshop. Topics to be discussed will include metadata definitions and description schemas; interpreting and creating MARC (machine readable cataloging) and Dublin Core records; MARC to Dublin Core conversion tools; and RDA, the upcoming new cataloging code. Priority will be given to librarians who have taken the Cataloging, Organization and Access workshop and who are from public libraries that are automated.
