For the second time, the Department of Libraries hosts a day of adult programming ideas for the national summer reading theme, Water Your Mind. We’ll discuss logistics, local incentives, program ideas, displays, and how to tweak the familiar concepts of summer reading to involve adults in the community. We’ll include ideas for men, intergenerational programs and the fifty plus crowd. Bonus: if you’re not wild about the national slogan, help us generate a Vermont version.
If the library is not doing a summer reading program, join the group to review good program practices and get ideas for working with adults.
