Event Type: Parenting Date: 11/11/2009 Start Time: 7:00 PM End Time: 8:00 PM Description: This workshop with therapist Dr. Ronnie Kopp Wiener helps parents to understand and deal with their teenager’s stage of development. Discover effective strategies for listening and disciplining, while building self-esteem and encouraging responsibility. The workshop is intended to reduce parents’ frustrations, nagging and yelling, which so often accompany this stage of development.
As a founding member of the National Campaign for Tolerance, which was co-chaired by Rosa Parks and Morris Dees, Dr. Kopp Wiener has her name placed on the Wall of Tolerance in Montgomery, Alabama. She earned a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University. The subject of her doctoral dissertation was positive aspects of multiple roles for women. Dr. Kopp Wiener is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. As well as serving on the counseling services staff at County College of Morris, she is also with the CCM Speaker Services.
