Never served on a nonprofit board? In this newly-updated two-hour session, you will learn:

· The difference between nonprofit and for-profit entities and board service

· Legal considerations

· Board member “must do” roles and responsibilities

· How to be an effective trustee

Staff, prospective board members, and existing board members are welcome.

Cost: The $35 fee includes refreshments and the booklets Board Boot Camp Participant Guide, Fiduciary Duties of Directors of Charitable Organizations, and Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence. The workshop is free for persons who work for MAP supporting companies.
