10:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Event Details

Julie Dietzel-Glair brings her storytime expertise to Indiana to present Books in Motion training at 5 locations in the state! These trainings will be worth 3 Library Education units (3 LEUs) and include information about incorporating more movement while reading aloud, along with great book suggestions for this practice. "Do you want to jump, sing, dance, wiggle, stretch, and draw with preschoolers while reading books to them in storytime? Discover many ways to include movement during the books rather than just in between the books. This interactive program will have participants up and moving with the shared books and ideas. All activities based on the book titled Books in Motion: Connecting Preschoolers with Books through Art, Games, Movement, Music, Playacting, and Props by Julie Dietzel-Glair and published by ALA Editions (Neal-Schuman) in 2013 which includes 500 titles suitable for a movement filled storytime."
