Event Details

Ever feel overwhelmed trying to figure out how to read a MARC record? Don’t know your 1XX from your 7XX? Haven’t a clue what an indicator does? Please join us at the 2015 Spring/Summer EI Cataloging Roundtable for a review of the primary MARC tags and how to effectively create and edit them in Evergreen. This course is intended to cover the very basics of RDA MARC, but catalogers of all levels are welcome to attend. After the formal presentation, we will have open discussion moderated by the EI Cataloging Committee, so please prepare your questions and suggestions! The Indiana State Library will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its programs, services, and activities. If you require an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in this program, service, or activity of the Indiana State Library, please contact Anna Goben (AGoben@library.IN.gov or (317) 234-6624) in advance of the webinar in which you would like to participate. Alternatively, you can contact Faye Brookins, the Indiana State Library’s ADA Coordinator ((317) 233-1184, fbrookin@spd.in.gov). Notice of a needed accommodation should be provided as soon as possible to allow time for the State Library to arrange for the accommodation; however, notice of a needed accommodation must be provided to one of the above contacts no later than 48 hours in advance.
