Description:
 Historical Connections, a collaboration with the Beacon Historical Society and the Library, will feature a new display about Margaret Fuller during May. Margaret Fuller, a writer, editor, journalist and colleague of Emerson and Thoreau was an early women’s rights advocate. Fuller stayed in Fishkill Landing in the fall of 1844 to begin writing her seminal work, “Woman in the Nineteenth Century”. A historic marker in her honor will be placed at Polhill Park on Saturday, May 21 at 11:00 am.
