"National Poetry Month" Poetry Workshop: Youth ages 9-12 will work on a special community Arbor Day poetry project that celebrates our local trees with Beacon's poet laureate, Thomas O'Connell. Participants will choose a tree along Main St. and write a poem to/in honor of it. When completed, student poetry along with the photos of their tree will be displayed in the store/business windows right near the trees themselves. These will complement Beacon's Arbor Day (Apr. 24)celebration.
