A poetry slam is a lyrical boxing match that pits poets against other poets in the spirit of fun and creativity. Come out and join us as we listen to middle school and high schoolers "spit" their rhymes for our 2009 Fall Slam. We will have two workshops in the YA department at the Lee Road branch to help you polish your performance on Thursday October 29th from 7pm-8pm and again on Thursday November 5th from 7pm-8pm. The salm will be judged and prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
