Review:
Historical novel based on much research takes you back years to 814-855 and the story of a young girl who assumes her brother's identity to make her way in the world when women had very little education, respect, or standing within that society. The accuracy of historical events is documented and questions are left for the read if indeed the church has buried this fact.

When Mackenzie Phillip's 6 1/2 year old daughter, Missy, is abducted during a camping trip with her dad, and later presumed murdered, Mack thinks God doesn't care about him. But he recieves a note from "Papa" inviting him to the scene of the crime. Mack had often spoken of a "great sadness" that invaded his life. The triune God, whom he met at the shack, lifts the depression from his shoulders. I have never seen a theological point dealt with so well in a novel - Papa, son, and holy spirit.
