Event Type: Continuing Education Workshop Date: 11/24/2009 Start Time: 1:00 PM End Time: 4:30 PM Description: Attendance to one session of this workshop is required in order for a library to submit an application for an LSTA grant. The 3.5 hour session focuses on explaining Connecticut's LSTA grant writing procedures as they apply to the 2010-2011 cycle.
Explanations and expectations for each of the six Program Grant categories; Coverage of the Part B Requirements; Best practices; Examples of successful past projects; Discussion of strategies and approaches to LSTA grant writing; Attendees will come away with a sense of what grant reviewers seek when reviewing LSTA applications in a general sense as well as information specific to each particular category. The class is in PowerPoint format. Participants will receive handouts.
