A series of lectures co-facilitated by LBCC Benton Center and the Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center. The historic trade routes that came to be known as the Silk Road carried not only goods, but also arts, music, languages, beliefs, and ideas between East Asia and Mediterranean Europe. Discover a bit of the history and geography of the famous routes. Using map activities, interactive explorations, cultural conections, and inquiry-based discussions, enjoy exploring what is traded whenever different cultures meet.
